You can send or receive faxes online either by installing software in
your PC or directly from the web using your email address or your email
client such as outlook express or Eudora. Some of the fax services are free, while others
are commercial services which have to be subscribed by paying a monthly or
annual fee. There are also some services which are exclusively meant to
receive faxes. Besides these regular services which are meant for home use
or small business use, there are broadcasting services using which you can
send the same fax message to hundreds of destinations simultaneously. Most
of these services also enable interaction with cell phones, pagers, and
mobile devices. The
various types of fax services and their providers are listed below.
Free Services
- US and Canadian Destinations

FaxZero lets you send a fax to any fax machine in the USA
(including Puerto Rico) or Canada for free without owning a fax
machine. This service is supported by the advertisements on the
cover pages of your free fax messages. To use this service you
you must have a valid email address. They way it works is simple.
Fill in an online form giving the sender and receiver information
and entering the fax message, Once you fill the form a confirmation
code will be sent to the email address mentioned by you in the form.
You need to enter the confirmation code in the fax message to
complete the process.

Printing Service : The TPC service is a collection of
FAX servers you may use to send a fax to many locations around the
world. You can send faxes using an email or a web form available on
their website. You have to use correctly formatted email address and
fax number. Before you send a fax verify whether the fax number is
covered by their coverage listing which is available on their
website. Not all countries are covered by this service. Some
European countries, India and China are included in the list. The
site also provides links to some freeware software to compose and
send faxes.
